Hello Folks,
“The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims God’s handiwork” — Psalm 19: 1
God’s display of nature is bursting forth with life. The colors, the smells, and the sounds of the birds singing along with critters rummaging and rustling in the leaveson the ground. The sky is blue, the sun is bright, and the breeze is ever so gentle on the skin. Okay, and the pollen and the bugs! Then the realization comes that we have already journeyed a quarter of the way through 2025.As we venture forth, some may find that life is moving at a different pace or direction than expected. Maybe you feel time is simply dragging and you are getting nowhere fast? Maybe life is speeding by so quickly that if you blink you could miss it? Someone once said, “life is what you make of it based on your attitude and that which you have or have not been given.” This is not the exact quote, but you get the gist. Basically, your life is based on the decisions you have made due to the consequences of your life. We do not all handle things in the same manner and sometimes this can be confusing for us to understand why others do what they do.
Either way let us take a moment, to take a moment. Let us not simply just read this article but let us be in prayerful contemplation with it. Sit comfortably. Take a good breath and let it out. Take another deep breath but let it out slowly. Take a third deep breath and hold a moment, then let out slowly. Now, let us move on.
The Task Force for updating the Church Bylaws and redeveloping some areas of ministry has been hard at work. The hope is that the Bylaws help the work of the church with the assistance of the Spirit, we ask for your prayers. Please remember we opened the floor to participate in this group at the Annual Meeting. We have a good group of seven that God has called to do this work. But do not worry, you will all have a chance at a Special Meeting of the Church to do and say your part!
We are a church made up of different parts, Paul reminds of this in his letters. We are blessed to come together in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ to do the work of God’s church. So, here is a look at some of what is happening this May.
