The Difference

Hello Everyone,

It is not Fall yet, but we are already planning into the Christmas season. I know, right?   As we begin to find a new structure in our daily activities, how about arranging space for God.  As the days start to get darker, we will 

again offer readings on Facebook, time and dates to be determined.  

In the meantime, how about starting and ending your day, every day, 

with scripture and prayer.  You say, “I do not have time.” I say, 

“You don’t have time for God? Have you ever read the poem, The Difference?"

The Difference

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;

      • I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task;

      • "Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered.

      • God answered, "You didn't ask."

I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on gray and bleak;

      • I wondered why God didn't show me.

      • God said: "But you didn't seek."

I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys at the lock.

      • God gently and lovingly chided, "My child, you didn't knock."

I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day;

      • I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.        -- Author Unknown

So, as you rush around this September with so many things to do, remember that a little Jesus can go a long way. So come and worship with us on Sunday at 10am and get a little Jesus for yourself. Don’t forget to include God with you along the journey, take time to pray, spend time with the Scriptures, and come to Church.
