It's March. Lots to do.

Let us begin with a great big thank you to those who helped the Annual Church Meeting run so smoothly. Second, thank you to all who help make the church run smoothly. Third, thank you to all who attend and participate in this important part of our church life together.

As we move into March and the remaining time in the Season of Lent, let us look at other ways we can be a family together. Sunday mornings are of course one of the best ways to praise our Lord in worship and say hello to our neighbors and friends in person.

For those who join us via Facebook on Sunday, we hope you feel the mission of the church and want to be part of it.  If you can stop by at any of our events and say hello, please do. So much happens before and following worship on Sundays that Facebook just cannot assist us with that.

So, Zoom Lectionary Bible Study begins Tuesday at 11am. If you want to be part of this group, registration is required. Please send email the church office with your desire to participate. Pastor Cheryl will send you an email link to the meeting on Tuesday morning.  If you are using Zoom for the first time, go to  http://zoom.us/test to join a test meeting & to check your video or audio.

Let us look at some other things going on during the week and introduce you to ways you can spend time interacting with the Pastor.  Starting with Monday mornings at 9:30am, our church offers a great yoga class with Pat Fox for only $5!  Following yoga, join us for Coffee & Conversation at the Rise Café. We generally gather starting at 11am. Here we simply gather for fellowship and laughter. Our presence in the community has grown due to this wonderful endeavor from our deacons. Following your pastor usually makes a pastoral visit or two.

Tuesdays, Pastor Cheryl works from her home office writing things like bulletins, sermons, Steeple Articles, and doing research on just about everything. She is certainly open to phone calls, emails, text, and messaging. Tuesday and Thursday nights is Zumba with Tracey and Kelly. They have a link on our Facebook site so go ahead and look them up!

Wednesdays Pastor Cheryl is in town and currently facilitating a Grief Support Group at 11am. This group will continue through April 10th . The Pastor is happy to meet with you on Wednesdays, prior to, or following this group. At times, we have meetings such as SAM or PRC.

Thursdays may include meetings with The Greater Fall River Council of Churches and Somerset Clergy group. Currently we are planning Maundy Thursday which falls on March 28th. We will share in worship and soup dinner at the Somerset Baptist Church. Your attendance and participation in this event is an important part of our greater

church community.  Thursday, April 18th we will resume our study on the Book of

Genesis in classroom 1, the adult Religious Education Room.

Friday is the Pastor’s day of rest unless in the event of an emergency. Saturdays, we are currently enjoying an Ecumenical Lenten Art Bible Study at 10am. Bring your coffee, tea, or water and don’t forget your Bible!  Let’s have some fun together exploring and creating through the Journey to the Cross with our Lord, Jesus Christ and one another. Yes, you are welcome.

Look at that, we ended right back on Sunday so that we may praise and worship the Lord our God, Jesus Christ. Amen. Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday are both this month. On Easter we will gather at the Somerset's Waterfront Pier at 6:30am for the Sunrise Service. After our worship there, we are invited to the Somerset Baptist Church for breakfast. Please bring a breakfast specialty to share.

At 10am Easter Sunday, we will gather back at church for worship and the celebrations that Easter brings. Did you get a chance to put flowers on the altar? Immediately following worship, we will share in our Annual Breakfast of Breads (sign-up sheet) and our Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the little ones. If you are able, there is a collection box for Easter goodies just outside of the kitchen.Won’t you join us? Peace,  Pastor Cheryl Rieder
