Hot & Humid - August 2023

Hello Everyone,

Wow, what a hot and humid summer we have been having this year. Thank

goodness for the beautiful lightweight white robe that I purchased with the

financial gifts you gave me for our 10th anniversary celebration. Also coming is a

more formal and a bit heavier white robe that I am hoping and praying will arrive

by October. I had hoped to have a picture for you, but it just did not turn out in a

way you can really see. Guess we will all just have to “wait and see”. Hmmm?

Where have we heard that before?

Along with the lovely new robes from you, the church members and friends, the

deacons also offered a gift originally meant for a travel baptismal set, that has

now enabled your pastor to purchase of a new laptop computer. The decision to

use these funds toward the purchase of a new computer was easy, the deacons

knew I really needed one. With these gifts may we continue to minister together

in this community for as long as God calls us to do so.

As we move into our 11th year of ministry together and you, please all know how grateful I am for the gifts, but I am even more thankful for you. May we continue to reach out in love and compassion, as Jesus taught. May we support and help each other and when needed pray for each other. You know what, no. We should pray for each other constantly! You know, if you are praying for someone, it is hard to be mad at them. If you remain angry, maybe you should investigate your heart and seek the answer why, with God’s help. May healing and forgiveness overflow in your life with the blessing of the Spirit. Amen.
